Very nice detail. Like how the sparrow's pose matches the diagonal in the background.

Thanks for the comments. Jerry, you have a great eye and often point out subtle aspects of an image that I miss. Thanks! I also like the full tail showing.
These are my first good images of a kildeer - finally! I've stalked them before, but failed to get a keeper. This bird was leading me away from a nearly-grown chick. I positioned myself at a good sun angle and, as long as I stayed still, the bird ran back and forth in front of me, providing the opportunity for these images.

Very nice work sir. The phoebe image is quite lovely, more space on bottom and less on top might be nice? You have a great collection of subjects on mullein! Both the phoebe image and the sparrow image have some great subtle background variation in the tones of the green(s). The light is harsh (but handled very well considering the reflectiveness of the subject) in the killdeer shots. Low shooting angle works well in the killdeer image, and I love the calling pose in the first image.
